Job Description

Medical & Behavioral Health Support Specialist Daytona Beach, FL 32114 Full-time Full-time Provides trauma-informed, non-judgmental support to individuals experiencing mental health and substance use challenges. This role bridges basic medical care, recovery support, and community connection. Key Responsibilities Medical & Behavioral Health Support
  • Provide first aid and non-emergency medical support
  • Conduct basic wellness assessments
  • Monitor and respond to behavioral health needs Trauma-Informed Engagement
  • Deliver person-centered, recovery-oriented care
  • Maintain a safe and welcoming environment
  • Support individuals in distress or crisis Substance Use & Mental Health Support
  • Support individuals with co-occurring conditions
  • Provide education on harm reduction and wellness
  • Encourage voluntary recovery engagement Resource Navigation
  • Connect Members to healthcare and community services
  • Support warm handoffs to providers
  • Collaborate with staff and partners Minimum Qualifications
  • Active Paramedic or RN license
  • 2+ years experience with mental health/SUD populations
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed care and harm reduction
  • CPR/BLS certification (ACLS preferred)
  • Strong communication skills Preferred Attributes
  • Experience in peer-based environments
  • Cultural humility
