Job Description

Neuroversity is seeking a Behavioral Health Professional who is not only adept in therapeutic techniques but also possesses robust physical fitness to actively engage with clients in various physically demanding activities. This role involves direct participation in physical exercises, outdoor activities, and other active interventions as part of our therapeutic strategy.
Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments with a focus on both mental and physical well-being. Provide assistance and support to individuals with disabilities with daily living tasks, including but not limited to personal hygiene, dressing, meal preparation, and medication management. Actively engage clients in physical activities as part of therapeutic interventions, including sports, outdoor adventures, and exercise routines. Implement treatment plans that incorporate physical activity, tailored to each client's abilities and needs. Provide support and guidance in physically demanding situations, ensuring clients' safety and well-being. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver a holistic approach to care. Maintain accurate records of clients' progress, including physical activity and therapeutic responses. Ensure the safety and wellbeing of individuals at all times, including during transportation and community outings. Acquire and maintain Registered Behavior Technician and Direct Support Professional certification. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Demonstrated physical fitness and ability to engage in various physical activities. Must be 18 years or older. Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred. Ability to communicate effectively with individuals with disabilities and other staff members. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong organizational and time management skills. Must be able to pass a criminal background check, tuberculosis screening, and drug screening. Pay:
$17.00 per hour
