Job Description

Job Overview Join our dedicated team as an Overnight & Day Resident Support professional, where your energy and compassion will make a meaningful difference in the lives of residents. In this vital role, you will provide around-the-clock support, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and structured environment for individuals in need of assistance. Your proactive approach and strong communication skills will foster trust and stability, helping residents thrive while maintaining safety and order within our community. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic setting that values your commitment and expertise. Duties Supervise residents during overnight and/or daytime hours, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times Conduct crisis intervention when necessary, calmly de-escalating conflicts and managing behavioral health concerns Assist with childcare activities, including monitoring children's activities and supporting their emotional needs Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive conduct and social skills among residents Perform intake assessments and case management tasks to evaluate individual needs and develop personalized support plans Administer medications following prescribed protocols, maintaining accurate medication administration records Maintain detailed data entry, filing, and data collection related to resident progress, incidents, and daily activities Provide security by monitoring premises through surveillance checks and controlling access points to ensure a safe environment Experience Knowledge of FASD (Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders) a plus Supervising experience in residential or community care settings is highly preferred Strong background in crisis intervention, conflict management, or behavioral health services Experience working with individuals with developmental or mental health challenges is advantageous Knowledge of social work principles, case management processes, and intake procedures Familiarity with medication administration protocols, first aid certification, and home & community care experience Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members, residents, families, and emergency responders Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism while maintaining a positive attitude This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to support vulnerable populations in a lively environment.
