Job Description

Welcome to St. Nicholas Center for Children! Our mission is to transform the lives of children with Autism, delays, and disorders, by providing therapy and family support. We train all of our technicians during the first week of employment while being paid at their typical rate of pay.
Responsibilities:
  • Implement individualized treatment plans for children with special needs, focusing on behavior management and cognitive skill development.
  • Provide direct one-on-one behavioral therapy to clients, following the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
  • Collect and analyze data on client progress and behavior, making adjustments to treatment plans as needed.
  • Collaborate with a team of professionals, including Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), to ensure effective treatment implementation.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of behavior intervention plans.
  • Teach and reinforce appropriate social, communication, and daily living skills.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of client sessions and progress.
Skills:
  • Experience working with children, particularly those with developmental disabilities or special needs.
  • Knowledge of special education principles and practices.
  • Familiarity with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques and methodologies.
  • Strong observation and data collection skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to build rapport with clients.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively within a team.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Positive attitude
  • Willingness to work on a team
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment with developmentally delayed children
  • Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to safely care for children who have problematic behaviors such as escaping or running from individuals, tolerating different forms of aggression, and being physically fit to care for a child in a one on one setting.
  • Basic childcare skills
