Union/Non-Union Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Behavioral Health Restorative Support Specialist to help clients regain independence, build coping skills, and restore daily functioning. In this role, you will provide direct, evidence-based behavioral interventions. You will work alongside a multidisciplinary clinical team to implement individualized rehabilitation and care plans. Duties and Responsibilities:
Work closely with the Department of Mental Health (DMH) Children Youth and Families (CYF) area and statewide leadership. Provide intensive outreach, mentorship, and engagement with youth and young adults at highest risk of involvement in violence. Deliver evidence-informed individual and group interventions focused on conflict resolution, emotional regulation, trauma recovery, and life skills. Use the Impact Center as a central hub for relationship-building, crisis response, and service coordination. Identify and engage youth who may be disconnected from traditional systems or supports. Respond to emerging conflicts and support mediation and de-escalation when appropriate. Connect youth to services such as behavioral health care, education support, workforce development, housing resources, and community programming. Work collaboratively with community partners including schools, outreach teams, behavioral health providers, and youth-serving organizations. Maintain consistent contact with participants and provide ongoing support to promote safety, stability, and personal growth. Facilitates groups that build coping skills and emotional regulation, while supporting young adults in developing healthy communication, conflict resolution, and open conversations around the impact of community violence. Document engagement, services, and outcomes to support program evaluation and continuous improvement. Participate in team meetings, case consultations, and professional development opportunities.
