Job Description

Mount Desert Elementary School Opening beginning August 2026 Student Health Aide Mount Desert Elementary School is seeking a compassionate, vigilant, and qualified Student Health Aide to provide dedicated daily health support for a primary level student. The ideal candidate will foster a safe, supportive environment that allows our student to thrive and participate fully in their school day.
Required Certification:
Maine DOE Criminal History Record Check -
CHRC CPR & First Aid:
Active certification in
Child CPR and Pediatric First Aid Key Responsibilities:
Monitor the daily physical health, safety, and well-being of a primary level student. Administer student-specific health protocols and basic first aid as needed. Coordinate closely with school staff and parents regarding the student's daily health status. Maintain a clean, safe, and nurturing environment for the student.
Experience:
Previous experience working with early childhood students, ideally in a health, caregiving, or educational setting.
Traits:
Exceptionally reliable, patient, and detail-oriented, with excellent communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Background as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Medical Assistant (MA), or Educational Technician.
