Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking energetic and compassionate Community Support Staff to join our dedicated team in providing exceptional care and assistance to individuals with diverse needs. In this role, you will be a vital part of empowering individuals with developmental disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, and cognitive challenges to live fulfilling lives. Your positive attitude, strong communication skills, and commitment to person-centered support will help foster independence, safety, and well-being within our community. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference every day while gaining valuable experience in behavioral health, special education, and caregiving. Duties Assist individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation to promote independence and dignity Support behavioral health initiatives by implementing behavior management plans and positive reinforcement strategies Help coordinate transportation and drive clients to appointments or community outings safely and responsibly Must be willing to transport clients to Greenville, NC three times a week Collect data on client progress, behaviors, and service outcomes to support ongoing care planning and reporting Provide direct support during therapeutic activities, skill-building exercises, and social interactions tailored to each individual's needs Assist with medication administration following prescribed protocols when required for client safety and health Qualifications Experience working with individuals with autism, intellectual disabilities, or neurodevelopmental disorders is highly preferred Knowledge of special education practices and behavior management techniques is a plus Strong communication skills Background in behavioral health or home & community care settings is desirable Ability to assist with ADLs and provide caregiving support with patience and empathy Valid driver's license Experience in data collection, social work principles, or medication administration is beneficial Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings or weekends as needed to support clients' schedules Join us in creating a supportive environment where individuals thrive!
