Responsibilities Assist individuals with daily living activities (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation to promote independence and self-care. Implement behavior management strategies tailored to each individual's needs, utilizing positive reinforcement techniques. Support communication efforts using various methods, including American Sign Language (ASL), to facilitate effective interaction. Collect and document data related to service delivery, progress notes, and behavioral observations accurately and consistently. Administer medications following prescribed protocols while maintaining detailed medication administration records. Provide transportation and driving support for appointments or community outings in compliance with safety standards. Collaborate with families, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams to develop personalized care plans that reflect each individual's goals and preferences. Requirements Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism is highly preferred. Knowledge of special education principles and behavioral health practices is a plus. Strong communication skills to effectively engage with individuals of varying abilities and backgrounds. Ability to assist with ADLs and provide caregiving support in home or community settings. Valid driver's license and clean driving record for transportation responsibilities. Familiarity with data collection methods related to social work or behavioral health services.
