$23.00 - $30.00 Position Summary Preferred Behavioral Health Group is seeking a compassionate, organized, and service-oriented Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to support integrated outpatient care across our adult and children's programs. In keeping with Preferred's commitment to meeting and exceeding service recipient expectations, the CMA plays an important role in delivering high-quality, coordinated, and seamless care. This position works as an extension of the medical team to support behavioral health, primary care, and specialty care coordination, while helping create a positive and professional experience for service recipients and families. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated CMA who values teamwork, integrated care, and making a meaningful impact in the lives of others. Key Responsibilities Assist prescribers during outpatient service delivery, including psychiatric evaluations and medication management appointments Obtain and document vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, height, weight, body mass index (BMI), and waist circumference, in the electronic health record Provide injections for psychiatric medications and substance use treatment medications including Medication-assisted-Treatment Support coordination of care across behavioral health, primary care, and specialty care services Secure medical records from outside providers by preparing and processing releases of information Develop knowledge of target populations and provide support responsive to their specialized needs Maintain accurate, timely, and professional documentation in the electronic record Contribute to a welcoming, organized, and efficient clinical environment Collaborate with medical and clinical staff to support continuity of care and service excellence Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent required Current Certified Medical Assistant credential in New Jersey required Experience in behavioral health is strongly preferred Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams and diverse populations Commitment to professionalism, confidentiality, and person-centered care Why Join Preferred Behavioral Health Group At Preferred, you will be part of a mission-driven organization dedicated to improving lives and strengthening communities.
