Job Description

The MHA position works to support the PHP/IOP clinical team Responsibilities The mental health associate supports the clinical team in providing mental health treatment to adolescent clients in the PHP/IOP program MHA's attend daily treatment team meetings to inform clinicians of client presentation and interactions in group, as well as receive updates on client treatment goals, progress, and approaches MHA's facilitate and co-facilitate therapeutic groups. The MHA is responsible for curating engaging and dynamic DBT based groups Approaching and interacting with clients through a trauma-informed lens Supporting clinical staff in assessing clients for high-risk symptoms and communicating any high-risk concerns with the clinical team Coordinate client transportation to program. Drive the company van to pick up clients so as to bring them to program. Supervise clients during break, in group, and during on-site telehealth individual appointments Perform administrative duties: schedule and check in clients, file client paperwork as needed, put together client binders Document group notes within 24hrs Environmental responsibilities to maintain a clean work space Skills and Requirements Bachelor's Degree in psychology, social work or a related field 1yr + Experience working with adolescents Experience working with mental health and diverse populations Running 5-7 therapeutic groups per day Crisis de-escalation Strong work ethic Flexibility and problem solving Ability to work in a team setting Professional attitude and demeanor Strong boundaries and unconditional positive regard Consistent and timely attendance for all scheduled shifts Proficient in MS Office Valid Driver's License with clean driving record This individual also appreciates the neuroscience behind integrated mind/body approaches to recovery. Hours per week:
20hrs Monday through Thursday 1pm-6pm, ability to attend an additional paid hour of a minimum 2 group supervisions per month (on Fridays)
