In this vital role, you will provide immediate support and stabilization for individuals experiencing mental health crises, including those with severe mental illnesses, developmental delays, behavior issues, PTSD, and substance use challenges. Your energetic approach will help de-escalate situations, promote safety, and guide clients toward appropriate care pathways. This position offers an engaging opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives by delivering expert crisis management and behavioral health support in a fast-paced environment. Duties Respond promptly to crisis calls and situations, utilizing proven crisis intervention techniques to ensure safety and stabilization for clients. Conduct thorough intake assessments, gathering vital signs and medical history while respecting patient confidentiality under HIPAA regulations. Implement behavior management strategies and applied behavior analysis (ABA) techniques tailored to individuals with autism or developmental disabilities. Administer medications as prescribed, monitor effects, and document medication administration accurately within medical records. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans that address mental health needs such as PTSD, addiction, or behavioral challenges. Collect detailed data on client behaviors and responses to interventions for ongoing treatment planning and documentation purposes. Engage in social work practices by providing emotional support, psychoeducation, and connecting clients with community resources for continued care. Maintain compliance with medical terminology standards and ensure all documentation is precise, timely, and confidential. Monitor vital signs regularly to assess physical health status during crises or treatment sessions. Support clients through de-escalation techniques, behavior management strategies, and patient-centered care approaches to foster trust and cooperation. Qualifications Proven experience working with children, individuals with disabilities, or in behavioral health settings. Strong knowledge of crisis intervention methods and crisis management protocols. Ability to accurately measure vital signs and understand medical terminology related to patient care. Experience administering medications and understanding medication effects within a healthcare context. Excellent skills in data collection, medical documentation, and maintaining detailed records aligned with HIPAA standards. Background in social work or related fields preferred; relevant certifications such as QMHA are highly valued. Exceptional communication skills combined with the ability to remain calm under pressure during behavioral crises. Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA), behavior management techniques, and special education principles is advantageous.
