Job Description

Behavior Intervention Assistant Day Services When a group of families came together in 1957 to find services for their children with developmental disabilities, ACLD was born. In the Behavior Intervention Assistant role you will provide clinical support to individuals attending center-based day habilitation programs. Participate in crisis intervention response during behavioral emergencies. Participate in the development and ensure consistent implementation of proactive individualized behavior support plans.
Specifically you will:
Respond to behavioral emergencies. Lead crisis intervention and implement SCIP maneuvers when necessary to de-escalate situation in accordance with Individuals plan.

Participate in functional behavioral analysis with a focus on adaptive skill enhancement and addressing maladaptive behaviors that may interfere with the individual achieving identified life goals, as needed.

Participate in the development and implementation of individualized behavioral support programs (IBSP). Provide 1:1 clinical supervision as indicated for individuals in need of individualized clinical support schedules.

Coordinate behavioral data (IBSP, fundamental, DDP). Review, analyze and summarize the data collected and record in the weekly and monthly data sheets; prepare behavioral assessments for clinical meets/psychiatric visits as requestedPrepare data, make recommendations and participate in Psychology Department Review in order to monitor effectiveness of individualized psychological interventions Ensure reinforcements and required supplies are available to core room staff for the implementation of the behavioral support programs based on individuals assessmentsAssist with staff training in the areas of psychology related topics We require:

High School Diploma or equivalent and five (5) years related experience or Associates Degree with three (3) years related experience or Bachelors Degree with two (2) years related experience or any equivalent combination of education and experience which provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities.

Must be able to complete required training for SCIP (Strategic Crisis Intervention & Prevention) and CPR (Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation))Clean valid NYS drivers license.
