We offer a range of programs including food assistance, community meals, clothing resources, and job readiness support to empower our residents and the broader community. Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated WIT Full-Time Evening Counselor to join our team and make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities, behavioral health needs, and those requiring crisis intervention. This role involves providing compassionate care, managing behavioral challenges, administering medication, and supporting clients during evening hours to promote safety, stability, and personal growth. Duties Provide direct support and supervision for individuals with disabilities or behavioral health needs during evening shifts Implement behavior management plans and applied behavior analysis techniques to promote positive behaviors Conduct intake assessments, monitor vital signs, and document medical records accurately in compliance with HIPAA regulations Administer medication as prescribed, ensuring proper medical documentation and adherence to safety protocols Respond promptly to crises or emergencies using crisis management skills and de-escalation techniques Collect data related to client behaviors, progress, and incident reports for ongoing evaluation and planning Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including social workers, medical staff, and families to coordinate care Skills Experience working with children and individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder Strong crisis intervention and crisis management skills to handle emergency situations effectively Knowledge of medical terminology, vital signs monitoring, medication administration, and medical documentation standards Ability to perform behavior management strategies based on applied behavior analysis principles Excellent communication skills for working with clients, families, and team members Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and maintaining confidentiality of medical records Compassionate approach to patient care with a focus on social work principles and behavioral health support Join us in empowering individuals through compassionate evening support that fosters independence, safety, and well-being!
Pay:
$16.50 - $17.50 per hour
