We blend clinical expertise with individualized learning environments to help students build social skills, emotional regulation, and academic success. Position Overview The Classroom Lead is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the classroom, delivering tailored academic instruction, and fostering a supportive, structured environment. This role acts as the primary anchor for students, integrating specialized therapy insights and behavioral goal plans into daily classroom routines to ensure both academic and socio-emotional progress.
Key Responsibilities Classroom Management:
Maintain a highly structured, safe, and positive classroom environment using therapeutic and traumainformed behavioral management strategies.
Therapeutic Integration:
Partner closely with clinical staff and therapists to implement specialized therapeutic recommendations, sensory room breaks, and customized behavioral intervention plans.
Goal Tracking & Reporting:
Monitor and document student progress daily. Facilitate the collection of social skills data and behavioral milestone tracking using the Academy's digital system.
Collaboration & Communication:
Act as the primary point of contact for families regarding daily updates, and collaborate frequently with multidisciplinary teams (therapists, supervisors, and administration) to ensure holistic student support.
Qualifications & Skills Experience:
Minimum of 23 years of experience teaching or leading a classroom, preferably within an alternative school, special education setting, or therapeutic environment.
Core Competencies:
o Strong working knowledge of behavioral intervention, emotional regulation techniques, and deescalation strategies. Excellent communication skills for building trust with students, families, and clinicians. oProficiency with digital systems for inputting daily progress monitoring, behavioral tracking sheets, and digital forms.
