Responsibilities Develop and implement individualized habilitation plans tailored to each client's unique needs and abilities Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as grooming, dressing, feeding, and personal hygiene Support clients during community outings and facilitate social skills development through engaging activities Collect data on client progress, behavior patterns, and skill acquisition to inform ongoing care strategies Use positive behavior management techniques to promote cooperation and reduce challenging behaviors Operate personal transportation vehicles safely to escort clients to appointments, activities, or home settings Collaborate with families, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure consistent support and communication Requirements Experience working with individuals with autism, developmental disabilities, or neurodevelopmental disorders preferred Knowledge of special education principles and behavioral health practices Ability to communicate effectively using verbal skills and American Sign Language (ASL) is a plus Familiarity with behavior management strategies and medication administration protocols Valid driver's license with experience operating standard passenger cars; clean driving record required Prior experience in home & community care settings or social services highly desirable Certification in first aid and CPR required; additional certifications in caregiving or child development are advantageous Strong interpersonal skills for client communication, teamwork, and family engagement Ability to perform data collection accurately and maintain detailed documentation Join us in creating a supportive environment where every individual can thrive!
