Are you an experienced caregiver who excels at providing high-level, structured behavioral support? Viable Options for Individual Choice and Enhancement, LLC (VOICE) is seeking a resilient, specialized Habilitation Support Service Provider (SSP) / Enhanced DSP. In this role, you will work one-on-one with a participant funded through Pennsylvania's ODP Home and Community-Based Services Waivers. The individual requires a highly structured environment and can exhibit complex, challenging behaviors. We are looking for a professional who views behavioral hurdles as an opportunity to build trust, teach coping mechanisms, and champion the participant's "voice" through a person-centered approach.
Key Responsibilities ISP Implementation:
Execute individualized habilitation, socialization, and skill-building objectives exactly as detailed in the participant's Individual Support Plan (ISP).
Intensive Behavioral Support:
De-escalate challenging behaviors safely using approved positive behavior support strategies, maintaining emotional regulation under pressure.
Skill Acquisition:
Teach essential independent living skills including emotional regulation, crisis management, communication techniques, and community safety.
Community Integration:
Accompany and guide the participant during community-based outings, safely navigating social interactions and unexpected environmental triggers. [8]
Rigorous Documentation:
Maintain accurate daily logs tracking objective progression, behavior antecedents, successful intervention techniques, and incident metrics. Qualifications & Requirements Experience (Required): Minimum of 1-2 years of direct experience supporting individuals with IDD, Autism, or complex psychiatric diagnoses who present significant behavioral challenges.
ODP Familiarity:
Solid understanding of PA Office of Developmental Programs (ODP) regulations, waiver structures, and ISP execution frameworks.
Education:
At least Bachelors in relevant field.
Transportation:
Valid PA Driver's License, active auto insurance, and a reliable personal vehicle.
Background Clearances:
Must pass criminal history, child abuse history, and FBI fingerprint background checks.
