We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Senior CYPMH Practitioner to join the CYPMH and Child Psychology team in Lancaster and Morecambe. CYPMH Lancaster and Morecambe are looking to recruit a Band 6 Senior CYPMH Practitioner. The practitioner will complement the wider multi-disciplinary CYPMH; a busy, friendly service providing a range of treatment approaches to children and young people 0 - 18yrs including CBT, EMDR, DBT, SCM, Psychiatry, Psychology and Family Therapy. We also work in close collaboration with partner agencies. Main duties of the job Applications are invited from qualified Registered Mental Health Nurses, Social Workers, and Occupational Therapists with a minimum of 18 months experience, working with children and young people with emotional and mental health needs. You may be required to work in various community settings alongside partner providers. Person specification Education / Qualifications Essential criteria First level qualification, RMN or equivalent such as CQSW or occupational therapy. Knowledge Essential criteria Demonstrable Knowledge and skills in evidence based needs led assessments, of highly complex and co-morbid presentations of children, young people, their families and carers. Demonstrable Knowledge and skills in evidence based therapeutic interventions relevant to the needs of this client group. Good knowledge of legislation, acts and developments relevant to the field of child related work. Experience Essential criteria A minimum of 18 months experience of working within Child Mental Health. Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of Child Mental Health.
