Job Description

STS is seeking candidates for an Autistic Support Personal Care Assistant (PCA) position at Manheim Central Middle School for the 26-27 school year. Experience with individuals with disabilities preferred.
Schedule:
M-F 7:45am-2:45pm (May be less) Preferred candidate will:
  • Possess high self efficacy and self regulation skills.
  • Prior knowledge of/willingness to learn how to apply a Positive Behavioral Support Plan as outlined in students IEP with support of the classroom Teacher.
  • Ability to work in a professional environment with special needs children for the complete school day.
  • High reliability standards.
  • Provide support with Applied Behavioral Analysis; collect data, fill out progress reports and daily logs.
  • Willingness to provide support to the student in various capacities; including but not limited to; personal care assistance, instructional support for previously introduced skills/lessons, progress monitoring and data collection.
  • Strong written communication skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent certification, or higher education degree.
  • Maintain the same high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information about students as is expected in the classroom teachers.
  • Participate in daily classroom operations with the student.
  • Use of equipment as directed. Qualifications and Required Documents Pennsylvania Criminal Records check (Act 34) Pennsylvania Child Abuse Clearance History (Act 151) FBI Criminal History Record (Act 114) Proof of a TB test or chest x-ray that is less than two years old
  • Proof of a high school diploma or higher education (copy of transcripts/diploma acceptable) Additional required STS documents will be provided during on boarding process
