Role:
Catarsys Family Counseling is looking for a compassionate and driven Associate Mental Health Therapist to join our growing team in La Mirada, CA. This is an exciting opportunity to build your clinical career in a supportive environment where meaningful client connections and professional growth go hand in hand.
Responsibilities:
Provide individual, family, and group therapy services to a diverse caseload of clients Conduct biopsychosocial assessments and develop individualized treatment plans Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with state and agency standards Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic, client-centered care Participate in regular clinical supervision to support licensure hours and professional development Apply evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as CBT, DBT, EMDR or trauma-informed approaches Uphold ethical standards and maintain client confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines
Requirements:
Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Clinical Social Work, or related field Active AMFT, ACSW, or APCC registration with the California BBS Experience working with children, adolescents, adults, or families preferred Strong knowledge of DSM-5 diagnostic criteria and treatment planning Excellent written and verbal communication skills Empathetic, culturally competent, and client-focused approach to care Ability to manage a caseload independently while working collaboratively within a team
