Food Monitor 3.3 3.3 out of 5 stars Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Food Monitor to oversee the safety and well-being of students during meal times in our educational environment. As a Food Monitor, you will play a vital role in ensuring a positive, organized, and safe dining experience for children. Your proactive approach and excellent communication skills will help foster a respectful and enjoyable atmosphere where children can thrive. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the health and safety of young learners while developing valuable skills in behavior management, conflict resolution, and child engagement. Responsibilities Supervise children during meal times, ensuring they follow safety and behavior guidelines Promote positive social interactions among students, encouraging respectful communication Monitor children's eating habits to support healthy choices and proper table manners Address minor conflicts or behavioral issues promptly using effective conflict management techniques Assist with setting up dining areas and maintaining cleanliness before, during, and after meals Communicate effectively with teachers, staff, and parents regarding student needs or concerns Support children with special educational needs or childcare requirements during meal periods Qualifications Prior experience working with children or in childcare settings is preferred Knowledge of behavior management strategies and conflict resolution techniques Strong communication skills to interact confidently with children, staff, and parents Basic first aid certification is advantageous for ensuring safety in emergency situations Experience working with students with special education needs is a plus Classroom experience or teaching background can enhance your effectiveness in this role Ability to remain energetic, attentive, and approachable throughout the shift Join us as a Food Monitor to make a meaningful difference in students' daily lives!
