In this role, you will provide comprehensive mental health services, including individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, and case management, to diverse populations across outpatient and inpatient settings. Your expertise will help clients navigate mental health challenges, develop coping strategies, and achieve their personal goals. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments. Develop and implement personalized treatment plans. Provide individual, group, family, and child counseling sessions focused on mental health issues such as PTSD, grief, addiction, gender identity concerns, developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, and chronic pain management. Deliver crisis management services by responding promptly to urgent situations with effective crisis intervention techniques and behavior management strategies. Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations while ensuring confidentiality of medical records and medical terminology accuracy. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for case management, patient care coordination, and research initiatives to improve clinical outcomes. Utilize telehealth platforms to extend services remotely while adhering to clinical research standards and CPT coding requirements for billing purposes. Requirements Valid licensure or associate-level certification in social work or mental health counseling from an accredited program. Experience working with children, individuals with disabilities—including autism—and geriatrics in outpatient or inpatient settings. Proficiency in psychotherapy modalities such as motivational interviewing, behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and addiction counseling. Knowledge of ICD coding systems (ICD-9/ICD-10) for diagnostic evaluation and medical documentation purposes. Strong skills in crisis intervention, crisis management, behavior management, and patient assessment. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations ensuring confidentiality of medical records and patient information. Experience with telehealth technology platforms is preferred; prior hospital experience is a plus. Excellent communication skills combined with a compassionate approach to patient care—especially when working with individuals facing complex mental health or developmental challenges.
