Job Description

Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Supportive Living Trainer, where you will play a vital role in empowering individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, and other disabilities to achieve greater independence and quality of life. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference by providing hands-on training, support, and education in home and community settings. You will work closely with individuals to develop essential life skills, promote positive behavior, and foster social engagement, all while ensuring safety and compliance with care standards. If you are passionate about caregiving, skilled in communication, and eager to support others on their journey toward independence, this role is perfect for you! Duties Deliver individualized training to support daily living activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, household chores, and community outings Assist with behavioral health strategies and behavior management techniques to promote positive behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors Support individuals with communication needs using methods such as American Sign Language or other augmentative communication tools Collect and document data related to skill development, behavior progress, medication administration, and overall well-being Provide transportation for clients to appointments, activities, or community events while adhering to safety protocols Help with medication administration following prescribed guidelines and maintain accurate medication records Collaborate with families, social workers, healthcare providers, and team members to ensure comprehensive care plans are followed Qualifications Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, or behavioral health needs preferred Knowledge of special education principles and behavior management strategies Ability to assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as grooming, dressing, feeding, and toileting Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients, families, and team members Valid driver's license and clean driving record for transportation duties Familiarity with data collection methods related to client progress and care documentation Experience in caregiving or home & community care settings highly desirable Certifications in behavioral health support or medication administration are a plus but not required; training provided on the job Join us in creating a supportive environment where individuals thrive! Pay:
$43,000.00 - $46,000.00 per hour
