Duties Assist individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation to promote independence and health. Support behavioral health needs through positive behavior management strategies and personalized care plans. Facilitate communication using skills like American Sign Language or other methods to ensure effective interaction. Administer medications accurately following prescribed schedules and document all medication-related activities meticulously. Drive clients to appointments, community activities, or outings safely while maintaining compliance with traffic laws and safety protocols. Collect data on client progress, behaviors, and service outcomes to support ongoing care planning and reporting requirements. Collaborate with families, social workers, educators, and healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive support services. Skills Proven experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, or other disabilities in home or community settings. Strong understanding of special education principles and behavioral health practices. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members. Ability to perform caregiving tasks with compassion and patience while maintaining professionalism. Knowledge of behavior management techniques to support positive behavioral changes. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record for safe transportation duties. Experience in data collection and documentation for compliance and quality assurance purposes.
