Job Description

Job Overview Join our dedicated team as a Home Provider, where you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, and other special needs within their home and community settings. This rewarding position involves providing compassionate care, fostering independence, and promoting positive behavioral health. As a Home Provider, you will be a trusted caregiver and advocate, ensuring safety, well-being, and quality of life for those you serve. Your energy and enthusiasm will help create a nurturing environment that empowers individuals to thrive. Duties Assist individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation to promote independence and health. Support behavioral health needs through positive behavior management strategies and personalized care plans. Facilitate communication using skills like American Sign Language or other methods to ensure effective interaction. Administer medications accurately following prescribed schedules and document all medication-related activities meticulously. Drive clients to appointments, community activities, or outings safely while maintaining compliance with traffic laws and safety protocols. Collect data on client progress, behaviors, and service outcomes to support ongoing care planning and reporting requirements. Collaborate with families, social workers, educators, and healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive support services. Skills Proven experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, or other disabilities in home or community settings. Strong understanding of special education principles and behavioral health practices. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members. Ability to perform caregiving tasks with compassion and patience while maintaining professionalism. Knowledge of behavior management techniques to support positive behavioral changes. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record for safe transportation duties. Experience in data collection and documentation for compliance and quality assurance purposes. Familiarity with medication administration protocols and safety procedures related to client care. Join us in making a meaningful difference!
