- Part-time, Full-time Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Physician Assistant and/or Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to deliver comprehensive patient care across diverse clinical settings, including inpatient, outpatient, and telehealth environments. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to patient-centered care, possess excellent clinical assessment skills, and have experience with EMR systems. You will play a vital role in managing mental health conditions, providing acute care, and supporting patients through various stages of their health journey. This position is fully paid and emphasizes professional growth within a collaborative, innovative healthcare environment. Duties Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and diagnostic evaluations using advanced clinical skills. Manage a broad spectrum of mental health conditions through medication management, therapy, and crisis intervention, utilizing CPT coding for billing purposes. Administer injections such as botulinum toxin treatments for aesthetic or therapeutic purposes while adhering to aseptic techniques. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans that incorporate pain management, hospice & palliative medicine, and acute care strategies. Utilize EMR systems like Tebra, Epic or eClinicalWorks for accurate documentation of patient records, data collection, and medical coding (ICD-10/ICD-9). Participate in clinical research and clinical trials to advance evidence-based practices in psychiatry and general medicine. Qualifications Valid certification as a Physician Assistant or Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with current licensure. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and diagnostic evaluation techniques. Experience with hospital procedures including suturing, phlebotomy, catheterization (including cardiac catheterization), and tube feeding management. Familiarity with ICD coding (ICD-10/ICD-9), CPT coding for procedures and billing. Excellent patient care skills with the ability to perform physical examinations and intake assessments confidently while maintaining HIPAA compliance.
