Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated Behavioral Health Clinician to join our community-based team in Spokane. This role is open to both fully licensed clinicians (LICSW, LMHC, LMFT) and associate-level professionals (LSWAIC, LMHCA, LMFTA) working toward independent licensure. This position goes beyond the traditional office setting—providing care in shelters, supportive housing, and community environments where your work has immediate, meaningful impact. Whether you're building toward licensure or bringing advanced clinical experience, you'll be supported in a collaborative, mission-driven setting. Duties & Responsibilities Provide individual, group, and family therapy using evidence-based practices Complete intakes, biopsychosocial assessments, and treatment planning Deliver services in shelters, supportive housing, and medical respite settings Provide crisis intervention and conduct risk assessments in dynamic environments Support clients in developing coping skills, stability, and independence Facilitate psychoeducational and therapeutic groups Collaborate with case managers, medical providers, and community partners Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation Travel locally within the Spokane area to meet clients where they are Associate clinicians: Actively participate in clinical supervision and licensure progress Licensed clinicians: Provide independent clinical services and contribute clinical expertise to the team What This Role Feels Like Practice therapy beyond traditional office walls—meeting clients where they are Make a direct impact on individuals experiencing homelessness, mental health challenges, and substance use Work in a fast-paced, varied, and highly meaningful environment Build strong clinical judgment and confidence quickly Be part of a team that values resilience, collaboration, and real-world outcomes
Requirements:
Required (All Applicants) Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field Ability to obtain or maintain a Washington State credential Ability to obtain Agency Affiliated Counselor (AAC) credential within 30 days of hire Strong clinical judgment and communication skills Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Licensed Clinicians (Preferred) Active Washington State license (LICSW, LMHC, LMFT) Ability to practice independently Experience in behavioral health, crisis intervention, or community-based services Associate Clinicians (Welcomed) Active Washington State associate license (LSWAIC, LMHCA, LMFTA) Eligible for and committed to clinical supervision Motivation to complete licensure requirements Clinical Supervision & Professional Growth Internal clinical supervision provided by experienced leaders Additional access to licensed supervisors Exposure to diverse clinical populations and settings Strong support for licensure advancement and skill development Work Environment This is a community-based behavioral health role in Spokane. Services are delivered in shelters, low-barrier housing programs, and medical respite settings. Clinicians regularly work with individuals experiencing behavioral health crises, active substance use, and complex barriers to stability.
Compensation & Benefits Fully Licensed:
$34.09/hour and
Associate Licensed:
