We're seeking a passionate Behavioral Specialist who wants to do more than manage behaviors—you'll help develop people, coach teams, and create lasting positive outcomes for adults with developmental disabilities. This is an opportunity to become a key clinical resource within our organization, working alongside leadership, Direct Support Professionals, families, guardians, and community providers to improve quality of life through person-centered behavioral support. What You'll Do As our Behavioral Specialist, you'll: Develop, implement, and monitor Positive Behavior Support Plans (PBSPs) Conduct behavioral observations and identify environmental triggers Analyze behavioral trends and recommend effective interventions Coach, and mentor DSPs through hands-on training and support Lead training on trauma-informed care, de-escalation, communication, and client rights Review behavioral documentation and incident reports for quality and compliance Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and collaborate with outside professionals Promote dignity, independence, community inclusion, and person-centered services We're Looking For Someone Who Is ✔ Calm under pressure ✔ A natural coach and mentor ✔ Passionate about helping people succeed ✔ Organized and detail-oriented ✔ Solution-focused and collaborative ✔ Committed to client dignity and high-quality services Qualifications Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, behavioral health, or mental health needs Knowledge of Positive Behavior Supports, trauma-informed care, and crisis intervention Strong communication and leadership skills Experience training or coaching staff is preferred MSW degree in Social Work, Psychology, Behavioral Sciences, or related field preferred (equivalent experience considered) Why Excel Supported Living?
