In this role, you will serve as a trusted guide and caregiver, offering personalized assistance that promotes independence, safety, and well-being. Your dedication will help families and individuals experience improved quality of life through engaging activities, attentive care, and reliable support. This paid position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference while developing valuable skills in caregiving and support services. Duties Provide one-on-one mentorship and respite care to individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, dementia, or other health challenges Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident lifts Monitor residents' vital signs and observe patient behavior to ensure safety and well-being Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal planning and cooking Support medication administration following HIPAA guidelines and care plans established by healthcare professionals Engage clients in social activities, recreational outings, or therapeutic exercises to promote mental engagement and emotional health Maintain a safe environment through cleaning duties, infection control practices, and adherence to health protocols such as CPR and First Aid standards Requirements Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, community care settings is highly preferred Certification in First Aid and CPR is required; additional certifications such as HIPAA training are advantageous. Strong observational skills for patient safety monitoring and reporting changes in condition accurately Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges such as autism, emotional dis regulation Excellent communication skills combined with patience, empathy, and a positive attitude toward caregiving roles Join our team to become a vital part of a caring community dedicated to enriching lives through dedicated support.
