Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) " A minimum of six months of BHT experience is required."

Affinity Behavioral Care is looking for caring and patient individuals to join our residential behavioral health team working in various locations in the Goodyear area (west valley ). We welcome individuals with both caregiver experience and/or behavioral health tech (BHT) experience.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

(not just limited to these) : Assisting adults with chronic mental illness and/or substance abuse disorders Assisting with self-administration of their medications Responsible for implementing the daily activity and house programming schedules Transporting residents to scheduled program activities/events, outings, medical/dental appointments, and local agencies associated with their treatment plan Responsible for ensuring the safety of the residents and house Responsible for prompting the residents to follow their individual daily schedule Encouraging residents to participate in exercise/wellness activities (i.e. walks in the neighborhood) Assisting and prompting residents with daily living skills & ADLs, when applicable

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE / KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS

High School Diploma or GED Certificate At least 6 months experience as BHT At least 21 years of age Required to have excellent communication skills Attention to detail is preferred

PHYSICAL & MENTAL ABILITY REQUIREMENTS

Be able to lift at least 25 pounds Be able to drive the company vehicles Be able to complete required trainings and meetings as scheduled Be able to respond to emergencies as directed Be able to physically perform the primary responsibilities within the defined working conditions
