Our program is in a 24-hour residential based behavioral healthcare setting. In this vital role, you will provide compassionate support and supervision to young patients experiencing behavioral health challenges. Your energetic and proactive approach will help create a safe, nurturing environment where adolescents can work through their emotional and psychiatric needs. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young individuals while gaining valuable experience in psychiatric and residential-based healthcare settings. Shifts 7am - 3pm Duties Oversee multiple BHRF locations within a 3 mile radius. Coordinate daily tasks with each locations Shift Supervisors. Provide direct supervision to BHT staff and adolescent patients, ensuring a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment. Modeling and coaching staff in the use of trauma-informed, strengths-based interventions Guiding staff performance, maintaining compliance with program policies and regulatory standards, and supporting effective shift operations Monitor and observe adolescent patients closely to assess their mental state, behavior, and safety needs, ensuring timely intervention when necessary Assist in implementing individualized treatment plans by engaging patients in therapeutic activities and behavior management strategies Respond swiftly and effectively to crisis situations, utilizing crisis intervention techniques to de-escalate conflicts or agitation; and support in developing healthy coping strategies Teaching daily living and independent life skills Support medication administration procedures under supervision, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to medical protocols Maintain accurate medical records, documenting patient observations, behaviors, and interventions in compliance with healthcare standards Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—as a key member of the team the BHT Supervisor collaborates with therapists, counselors, nursing staff, educators, and program leadership—to coordinate patient care and ensure comprehensive support Promote a positive environment that encourages patient engagement, emotional stability, and personal growth Experience Prior experience working with individuals with disabilities or in behavioral health settings is highly desirable Knowledge of crisis intervention methods and acute care practices enhances your ability to succeed in this role Familiarity with medical terminology, patient monitoring techniques, and psychiatric care procedures is beneficial Experience working within hospital and residential based healthcare facilities provides valuable insight into structured healthcare environments Strong understanding of behavior management strategies and patient observation techniques is essential for effective supervision Previous nursing or medical assistant experience can be advantageous but is not mandatory; training will be provided for qualified candidates This role is paid and offers a rewarding opportunity to develop your skills within a supportive team dedicated to adolescent mental health.
