Job Description

Axis Mental Health is dedicated to providing compassionate and comprehensive mental health care to our clients. We are seeking a dedicated Mental Health Worker to join our team and help support the health, safety, and well-being of our adult clients. What's in it for You?

Key Responsibilities:
Provide care, supervision, and support to adult clients. Assist with household chores and help clients with medication self-administration. Facilitate social activities and accompany clients on approved outings. Conduct basic group sessions with clients. Perform house rounds to ensure a safe environment. Communicate effectively with clients to maintain their health and safety. Complete and maintain accurate chart documentation.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required; experience working with individuals with mental health disabilities in a facility setting is preferred but not required. Training will be provided for compassionate and motivated hires. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record as per the agency's auto insurance requirements. Ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a community-based treatment setting. Understanding of, and sensitivity to, working with a diverse, multi-ethnic population. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to be friendly yet maintain professional boundaries to help guide clients toward their goals. Proficient in critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Willingness to work shifts as assigned. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to obtain Department of Justice clearance per Community Care Licensing requirements. Commitment to participate in at least 20 hours of in-service training and supervision annually.
Pay:
$21.00
