You will work directly with patients in recovery, supporting their treatment plans, monitoring their progress, and ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment. This role is vital in helping clients achieve sobriety and stability. Key Responsibilities Provide direct care, monitoring, and support to patients with substance use and mental health disorders Document patient observations and behaviors accurately in electronic health records Report patient progress and concerns to clinical staff (addiction counselors, therapists, and medical team) De-escalate crises and support patients during emotional distress Provide encouragement and emotional support throughout recovery Alert medical/clinical staff in emergencies Administer and document medications (after training) Maintain facility cleanliness and safe environment standards Assist with meal preparation and household duties Uphold HIPAA confidentiality and professional boundaries Attend trainings and staff meetings as scheduled Remain awake and alert during all shifts Perform other duties assigned by clinical and management staff Cooking and cleaning Qualifications Experience working with individuals with addiction, mental health, or co-occurring disorders preferred Prior work as a Mental Health Specialist, Behavioral Health Technician, Recovery Specialist, or SUD Residential Support Staff is a plus Ability to remain calm, compassionate, and professional in high-stress situations Strong communication, observation, and crisis intervention skills Ability to maintain boundaries while building therapeutic rapport Computer literacy (documentation, charting, reporting) Must be dependable, team-oriented, and committed to patient safety and recovery Benefits of Joining Serenity Recovery Paid training (CPR/First Aid, medication management, crisis de-escalation) Supportive and collaborative team culture Growth opportunities within a growing organization Rewarding work where you make a direct impact on patients' recovery
