Duties Assist with intake assessments and develop individualized care plans tailored to each client's needs. Support clients with daily activities, including behavior management, skill development, and social interaction exercises. Implement evidence-based behavior intervention techniques such as applied behavior analysis (ABA) to promote positive behaviors. Monitor vital signs, supervise medication administration as prescribed, and document medical information accurately within electronic medical records (EMR). Respond effectively to crisis situations using de-escalation techniques and crisis intervention strategies to ensure safety for clients and staff. Collect data on client progress, behaviors, and treatment outcomes to inform ongoing care plans. Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards. Skills Knowledge of mental health conditions including PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder), substance use disorders, and neurodevelopmental disorders. Proficiency in crisis management, crisis intervention, and de-escalation techniques to handle challenging situations calmly and effectively. Ability to perform vital signs measurement, first aid, CPR certification, and basic medical procedures confidently. Strong communication skills for client interaction, social work support, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for managing electronic health records accurately and efficiently. Understanding of medical terminology, HIPAA compliance, and maintaining patient confidentiality at all times. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special education needs is highly desirable.
