In this energetic and rewarding position, you will assist licensed therapists in delivering personalized treatment plans, ensuring safe patient handling, and fostering a compassionate environment for diverse patient populations. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will contribute to positive patient outcomes and a seamless rehabilitation experience. Duties Assist licensed physical therapists and rehabilitation specialists in implementing treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs. Support patient transfer methods using proper manual handling techniques to ensure safety and comfort during mobility exercises. Prepare treatment areas, equipment, and supplies for therapy sessions, maintaining cleanliness and organization. Monitor patient progress during therapy sessions, documenting observations accurately while maintaining strict confidentiality of all patient information. Provide hands-on support with exercises, modalities, and therapeutic activities under supervision, ensuring adherence to safety protocols. Educate patients and their families on post-acute care routines, mobility techniques, and injury prevention strategies. Maintain detailed records of patient interactions, treatment progress, and any incidents or concerns for review by healthcare professionals. Skills Must be proficient in scheduling patients using Rehab Optima (Net Health) software. Schedule, reschedule, and coordinate daily therapy appointments based on therapist availability, physician orders, insurance requirements, and patient needs. Monitor daily therapy schedules to maximize therapist productivity and treatment efficiency. Update schedules promptly for admissions, discharges, evaluations, refusals, and changes in treatment frequency. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to rehabilitation care. Proven experience in practicing within a physical therapy or rehabilitation setting, including inpatient, outpatient, or hospital environments. Expertise in patient service with excellent communication skills to effectively engage with diverse clients and team members. Proficiency in manual handling techniques, patient transfer methods, and heavy lifting to support safe mobility assistance. Familiarity with CPR certification and acute care procedures to respond promptly to emergencies. Experience working in hospital medicine or sub-acute care environments with a focus on geriatrics, orthopedics, or post-acute recovery.
