In this vital role, you will provide compassionate patient care, support behavioral interventions, and assist with daily activities to promote stability and well-being. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with diverse populations, including children, individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, PTSD, and addiction recovery. Duties Assist clients with daily living activities, ensuring their safety and comfort while promoting independence. Implement behavior management plans using applied behavior analysis techniques to encourage positive behaviors. Monitor vital signs and observe behavioral changes to inform treatment strategies. Support crisis intervention efforts by managing emergency situations calmly and effectively, ensuring client and staff safety. Document medical records, behavioral data, and progress notes accurately in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Administer medications as prescribed and ensure proper medical documentation is maintained. Conduct intake assessments and collect comprehensive data to support individualized treatment plans. Collaborate with social workers, clinicians, and families to develop tailored care strategies that meet each client's needs. Requirements Prior experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities is highly preferred. Knowledge of crisis management techniques and crisis intervention strategies is essential. Familiarity with working with individuals on the autism spectrum or those requiring PTSD care is a plus. Ability to perform medical tasks such as taking vital signs and medication administration accurately. Strong understanding of medical terminology, medical documentation, and record keeping standards (HIPAA compliance). Experience in applied behavior analysis (ABA), behavior management, or special education will be advantageous. Excellent communication skills for effective patient care coordination and data collection. Ability to handle stressful situations calmly while maintaining a positive attitude and professional demeanor.
