Job Description

Behavioral Health Technician - Evening Program On-Site | Full-Time | Monday-Friday, 4:00-9:00 p.m. | $16-$18/hour
Note:
PRC's evening IOP program is set to launch in September 2026. We are hiring now for a September start. About the Role You are a frontline member of the PRC care team. You support adult clients through structured evening recovery programming — maintaining safety, accountability, and a therapeutic environment from the moment your shift starts. This role requires calm under pressure, strong documentation habits, and genuine commitment to the people you serve.

  • Crisis Stabilization What You'll Do Supervise and support adult clients throughout evening programming Conduct regular headcounts, rounds, and safety checks Collect and document urine drug screens in accordance with policy Complete shift notes, room checks, incident reports, and behavior documentation accurately and on time Maintain cleanliness and order of all shared program spaces Enforce program rules with professionalism and respect — firm, never punitive Collaborate with therapists, medical staff, and leadership across shifts Participate in team meetings and shift-change debriefs Escort clients to appointments or activities as needed What We're Looking For Required Experience working with adult clients in a substance use or behavioral health setting Strong documentation habits — shift notes, incident reports, and UA logs completed accurately and on time Calm, boundaried, and professional under pressure Valid driver's license and reliable transportation CPR/First Aid certified or able to obtain upon hire High school diploma or GED required Eligible for Level II background screening and drug test Available Monday-Friday, 4:00-9:00 p.
m. with a September 2026 start date Preferred 2+ years of experience as a BHT or in a similar direct care role Prior experience in a substance use treatment setting specifically (PHP, IOP, or residential) Bilingual English/Spanish PRC is an adult behavioral health organization operating PHP and IOP programs across South Florida.
