Behavioral Health Technician/Home Health Aide Silver Springs, FL 34488 $17.00 - $17.50 an hour - Full-time, Contract $17.00 - $17.50 an hour - Full-time, Contract Overview Join our dedicated team as a Behavioral Health Technician/Home Health Aide, where you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with diverse behavioral and developmental needs. In this energetic and rewarding position, you'll provide compassionate patient care, assist with daily activities, and implement behavior management strategies to promote independence and well-being. Your expertise will help create a safe, nurturing environment for clients with neurodevelopmental disorders, including autism spectrum disorders and other behavioral health conditions. T his paid position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference while developing your skills in healthcare and social work. Duties Assist clients with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, feeding, mobility, and medication administration under supervision. Observe and document behavioral patterns, collecting data to inform treatment plans and progress reports. Implement behavior management techniques based on applied behavior analysis (ABA) to support positive behaviors. Monitor vital signs and health status, reporting any changes or concerns to healthcare professionals promptly. Support clients during crisis situations through crisis intervention and crisis management strategies to ensure safety for all involved. Maintain accurate medical documentation and electronic health records (EHR), ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient privacy. Collaborate with social workers, therapists, and medical staff to coordinate care plans tailored to each individual's needs. Requirements Prior experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities is mandatory. Knowledge of medical terminology, vital signs monitoring, and medication administration procedures. Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR/EHR management) systems and medical documentation standards. Strong skills in crisis intervention, crisis management, and behavior management techniques. Ability to work effectively with individuals on the autism spectrum or those with neurodevelopmental disorders that present with severe behavioral issues. Excellent communication skills for working with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams. Certification in basic life support (BLS) or CPR is a

willingness to obtain relevant certifications if not already held. Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time.
