Job Description
As a Rehabilitation Registered Nurse at Encompass Health, you'll deliver specialized nursing care in an inpatient rehabilitation hospital. You will assess patients, develop and implement individualized rehab care plans, administer medications, and monitor progress toward functional recovery. Working in a collaborative, patient-centered environment, you will educate patients and families, coordinate with an interdisciplinary care team, and support safe transitions of care. Responsibilities Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized rehabilitation nursing care plans Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately Monitor, document, and communicate patient status and progress toward rehab goals Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including therapists and physicians Educate patients and families on rehab plans, safety, and discharge needs Promote functional independence and patient participation in therapy activities Maintain accurate, timely electronic medical records and care documentation Ensure compliance with clinical, safety, and infection control standards Participate in care conferences and discharge planning Support a positive, patient-centered and culturally sensitive care environment Required Skills Rehabilitation nursing Patient assessment and care planning Medication administration Wound care management IV therapy and line management Neurological and orthopedic rehab care Pain management Electronic medical record (EMR) documentation Patient and family education Interdisciplinary team collaboration
