Come join a great team at State Hospital West ( SHW )! We are seeking three temporary Psychiatric Technician at SHW located in Nampa. SHW is a 16-bed adolescent psychiatric treatment facility serving youth ages 12 to 17. Nestled between Ridgecrest and Centennial golf courses along the I-84 corridor, SHW offers a tranquil setting for healing and growth. SHW provides critical inpatient psychiatric care for Idaho adolescents experiencing the most severe and persistent mental health challenges. We work in close partnership with families and communities to help our youths transition back to successful community living. This position also requires applicants to become certified in CPR and Nonviolent Crisis Intervention. Employees may be required to work weekends, holidays, and day shifts, swing shifts, and night shifts. This position is not eligible for telework. Temporary positions are limited to working 1,385 hours in a 12-month period for any one state agency. Employees are eligible for benefits if they work twenty (20) hours or more per week and the term of employment is expected to exceed five (5) continuous months. The Idaho Department of Health & Welfare is a drug-free workplace. Any applicant offered employment in this position, will be required to pass a pre-employment drug test. In addition, the applicant will be required to complete and pass a criminal history background investigation after a conditional offer of employment.
