Position Summary The Mental Health Recovery Specialist will directly supervise addicted clients at night. Provide continuity of program services in an ethical, legal and moral manner within a safe and therapeutic environment, consistent with applicable regulatory and accreditation standards. Participate as a team member in the delivery of addictions treatment services to clients and their families and to facilitate the issues of recovery into their daily living situations. Sign-on Bonus of $2,000 paid out within first 9 months of hire.
Qualifications:
High school diploma, GED or higher education Advocate for individuals using professionalism and non-adversarial approach Willingness, ability and commitment to serve as a role model for recovery Valid Illinois driver's license and ability to meet Agency insurance requirements Minimum (RSA) Computer proficiency required Ability to navigate and complete documentation in the electronic health record Ability to accurately complete required documentation within the prescribed time frames Belief in the mission and vision of
Rosecrance Essential Responsibilities:
Work hours prescribed and any additional hours-deemed necessary for the responsibilities assigned. Overtime may be required. Supervise and manage the behavior of the residents and provide appropriate behavioral interventions and consequences for mental health and detoxing clients. Implement therapeutic activities and facilitate development of independent living skills. Provide education and support to clients specific to symptoms management and coping skills. Consult with other staff members and plan daily therapeutic direction for designated shift. May facilitate focal group discussion sessions on co-occurring issues. Attend all scheduled meetings of staff, such as treatment plan reviews, shift meetings or appropriate committee meetings as designated. Ensure that client service records are maintained consistent with rules and regulations. Oversee the cleanliness of the house, resident house jobs, and the proper use of equipment and supplies. Serve as a member of the assigned team and participate in all team meetings and activities. Exercise confidentiality in keeping with the professional code of conduct and within the framework of the law. Facilitate transportation of clients to Rosecrance buildings or hospitals as needed. Deliver exceptional customer service consistently to every customer. Serve as a role model and demonstrate positive guest relations in representing the agency. Assume other related responsibilities as delegated by management.
