Job Description

Position:
Addictions Technician Regional Health Systems is Northwest Indiana's largest provider of community-based mental health care, primary health care and addiction treatment services. We offer adults and children—both uninsured and insured—integrated care through our community mental health center and federally qualified health center. Regional Health Systems is a member of the Regional Care Group.
Position Purpose:
To provide technical psychiatric mental health and addiction services which are directed toward: 1. Creating a therapeutic milieu to facilitate treatment of addictions 2. Providing skills and support to enable clients to regain coping abilities and prevent further disability 3. Assisting the clients in developing a program of recovery
Essential Functions:
Implement and monitor Admit/Orient Obtain vital signs and document Conduct psycho-educational groups Provide emergency interventions and care of clients in crisis situations Clinical Documentation Trainer/lead responsibilities Productivity Ethical/Legal issues Diversity Computer literacy Teamwork/performance Improvement Communicates effectively Works cooperatively with others and supervisor
