$21•26/hr
Status:
Part Time, 16hrs/week Friday and Saturday Overnight•11:15pm-7:15am This is an awake shift, will have to go into client's dorms to look for signs of life during the hourly safety checks. About Us Our Transitional Support Services Programs (TSS) offer co-ed services that bridges the gap between detox and step-down services to residential after-care. High Point & Affiliated Organizations is a health and human service agency whose mission is to treat and prevent substance use disorders and mental illness. High Point has programs located throughout Southeastern Massachusetts offering a full continuum of care for substance use and mental health treatment, including inpatient, outpatient, residential, and community-based services. Programs and services also assist survivors of abuse, violence, and families experiencing homelessness. High Point believes that everyone has inherent goodness, worth, and dignity. Our goal is to help individuals and families achieve personal change and improve their quality of life. Recovery Specialist Requirements TB Screening CPR Certification HPAO crisis de-escalation program Confidentiality training (42 CFR, Part2 and 45 CFR parts 160 & 164 HIPAA) Therapeutic Boundaries Training Ability to care for diverse populations Incident Report Training All Hazards Training Infection Control Training Ability to lift 50 lbs. Basic Computer Skills Ability to communicate verbally and in writing Recovery Specialist Duties and Responsibilities Compliance with Federal Regulations regarding 42 CFR Part 2; Confidentiality of Substance Use Disorder and HIPAA Regulations Reviews and adheres to posted shift assignment at the start of shift Observation and accounting of all patients at all times to ensure safety, entering findings of patient status into the EHR at a minimum of hourly Monitor the milieu including bathrooms and group room for safe, clean and therapeutic environment at hourly and/or as needed Understanding of emergency procedures and codes and remain calm in a crisis Maintain therapeutic boundaries by setting limits and enforcing rules in a respectful manner Perform room inspections per policy and bag searches when directed Ensure the unit is neat and clean, performing end of shift duties to maintain a therapeutic environment for patients and staff, and restock supplies as needed. Attends Supervision with assigned supervisor twice monthly and/or as needed based on status or concerns and attend mandatory meetings Perform any other duties as assigned by Recovery Specialist Supervisor, Nursing Staff, Nurse Manager, Program/Site Director, DON, COO. Residential Services Specific Duties and Responsibilities Complete urine drug screens and breathalyzers when indicated; Perform and observe medication self-administration; Conduct room and bag searches when indicated; Facilitate assigned groups and enter notes into EHR Transportation of residents, if applicable (policy and documentation must be complete); Process new patient admission including the EHR process, an inventory and documentation of clothing, electronic and valuables and other forms as directed Be familiar with BSAS regulation and adhere to the rights of patients as defined by DPH Patient Rights Standards (105 CMR 164.079) Assist in verbal de-escalation and patient centered behavioral interventions with residents and provide crisis intervention as appropriate Benefits Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Long & short term disability Discounted auto/home and renters insurance 403b•Retirement
