Job Description

CMHA-CEI

Responsibilities:
Under the supervision of the Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Coordinator, provides a wide range of para-professional mental health services to consumers within a specific program or in an assigned area. Duties include a variety of supportive services and direct interventions with consumers in accordance with treatment plans developed by professional personnel. Responsible for carrying out all activities of the program/sub-unit in such a manner that fulfills CMHA's mission, policies and procedures.
Requirements:
Possession of a High School diploma or G.E.D. is required. A minimum of six months experience working with consumers experiencing mental health crisis required. Must be physically able to lift boxes of groceries and supplies that vary in weight and size and perform light housekeeping duties. Ability to communicate accurately and effectively both in writing and verbally is required. Possession of a valid Michigan driver's license and access to reliable transportation for job related use is required.
Conditional Employment Requirements:
Employment offers for this position will be contingent upon the results of a Michigan State Police clearance check, verification of an acceptable Michigan driving record. An individual may be excluded from consideration based upon their driving record. Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen.
