Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Full Time Behavioral Health Specialist working overnight or daytime shifts! In this vital role, you will provide compassionate support and expert care to individuals facing mental health challenges, ensuring their safety and well-being. Duties:
Monitor and support clients, providing a safe and secure environment for staff and residents Conduct thorough assessments of clients' mental health status, including emotional stability and behavioral needs adjusting treatment plans as needed Responsible for monitoring and reporting to the designated staff any potential risk to person's served safety that could lead to an adverse outcome Actively participate in safety management, crisis intervention, de-escalation, implementation of restrictive measures and emergency psychiatric and medical care Document all progress notes, medication administration and any other relevant information reporting any immediate concerns according to residential policies and procedures May, at times, assist persons with personal care activities Ability to provide cultural competent care with a wide range of individuals in a diverse community setting Requires physical and emotiona stamina to deal with physical, emotional, social, mental and spiritual needs of residents
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent is required Valid driver's license Proven experience in behavioral health setting or similar environments is highly desirable Recent physical exam and negative TB test-will be provided if necessary Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds Demonstrated ability to work within a team-oriented environment while also demonstrating independent decision making skills.
