Behavioral Health Technician

SUMMER HOURS, in clinic M/W-F 10-4 and Tuesday 11:15-4 Hours with client start June 16 ABA therapy experience preferred. Pay based on experience.

Responsibilities:

• Implement behavior support plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
• Provide direct one-on-one therapy to individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD)
• Collect and record data on client progress and behavior
• Collaborate with the BCBA and other team members to ensure consistency in treatment approach
• Support individuals in developing social, communication, and daily living skills
• Use positive reinforcement techniques to encourage desired behaviors
• Assist with crisis management and intervention as needed

Experience:

• Experience working with individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) preferred
• Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles and techniques
• Familiarity with medical terminology related to autism and developmental disabilities
• Experience working with children in a therapeutic or educational setting
• Strong crisis intervention skills and ability to remain calm in high-stress situations
• Understanding of special education practices and strategies
