The person in this role will work directly with children and adolescents with autism and related needs. The Behavior Technician will help clients build communication, social, daily living, and behavior regulation skills through individualized treatment plans. The ideal candidate has experience in Applied Behavior Analysis, understands how to work with children and families, and has a strong professional attitude. We prefer someone who has a background in the ABA field, because this role requires patience, observation, professionalism, and strong support skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide one-on-one direct therapy to clients under supervision. Follow treatment plans, behavior intervention plans, and skill acquisition programs. Teach communication, social, self-help, play, and daily living skills. Use ABA strategies during sessions. Collect accurate data during each session. Write clear and timely session notes. Support clients during transitions and daily routines. Use reinforcement, prompting, and behavior support strategies as trained. Communicate professionally with supervisors, caregivers, and team members. Attend training, supervision, and team meetings as required. Maintain client confidentiality and follow all company policies and ethical standards. Provide services in the clinic, home, school, or community setting as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent. Experience working in ABA, behavioral services, autism services, or a related field. Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities. Strong communication and documentation skills. Ability to stay calm, patient, and professional in challenging situations. Ability to follow directions and accept feedback. Reliable transportation and consistent attendance. Ability to pass background checks and any required clearances.

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of ABA principles and behavior management strategies. Experience collecting data and writing progress notes. Experience working with families from diverse backgrounds.

Skills and Abilities:

Build rapport with children and families. Work independently while following supervision. Stay organized and manage time well. Observe behavior carefully and respond appropriately. Maintain professionalism in all settings. Lift, move, and actively engage with children during sessions when needed.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the workday. Ability to keep up with active children in clinic, home, school, or community settings. Ability to lift or assist with movement when needed, within safe limits.
