We are seeking a compassionate, skilled, and dedicated Certified Screener to join our Crisis Screening Center team. In this critical role, you will provide crisis intervention, assessment, stabilization, and referral services to individuals experiencing mental health emergencies. What You'll Do As a Crisis Screening Center Certified Screener, you will: Respond to crisis hotline calls and behavioral health referrals. Conduct comprehensive mental health screenings and evaluations. Provide crisis intervention and therapeutic support to individuals and families. Assess risk factors, determine service needs, and recommend appropriate levels of care. Facilitate face-to-face crisis evaluations when indicated. Assist in stabilizing individuals experiencing psychiatric or emotional distress. Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation. Collaborate with community providers, hospitals, law enforcement, and other stakeholders. Participate in ongoing training, supervision, and professional development opportunities. What We're Looking For Required Qualifications Master's Degree in a mental health-related field from an accredited institution Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a psychiatric setting OR Bachelor's Degree in a mental health-related field from an accredited institution Minimum of three (3) years of mental health experience, including at least one (1) year in a crisis, emergency, or acute care setting Additional Requirements NJDMHS Crisis Training Certification or eligibility to obtain certification Valid New Jersey driver's license Clean driving record that meets insurance eligibility requirements Ability to work overnight shifts Strong clinical assessment, crisis intervention, communication, and documentation skills Why Join Cumberland County Guidance Center?
