Psych Tech E-Solutions IT Services Private Limited - 3.4 Rochester, NY Job Details Contract $1,573 a week 1 day ago Qualifications Associate of Applied Science BLS Certification Full Job Description Overview We are seeking a dedicated ED Close Observer/Psych Tech to join our healthcare team in providing exceptional psychiatric and behavioral health care in an emergency department setting. This vital role involves close patient observation, behavioral management, and supporting acute psychiatric interventions to ensure patient safety and well-being. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in psychiatric care, crisis intervention, and patient monitoring, contributing to a safe and supportive environment for individuals experiencing mental health crises. Responsibilities Conduct continuous and thorough observation of patients in the emergency department to monitor behavioral changes and ensure safety. Assist medical staff with psychiatric assessments, documenting patient behaviors and responses accurately. Implement behavior management techniques to de-escalate crises and promote a calm environment. Support patients with activities of daily living, ensuring their comfort and dignity during their stay. Maintain detailed medical records, including observations, interventions, and medication administration logs. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and follow individualized care plans. Respond promptly to patient needs, emergencies, or behavioral incidents following established protocols. Support medication administration under supervision, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to safety procedures. Participate in training related to psychiatric care, crisis intervention, and hospital protocols. Uphold patient rights and confidentiality while fostering a respectful environment.
Requirements:
2 years of recent experience, BLS from
AHA, AAS
degree in psychology or sociology required.

D/E/N Rotating Shift ( 48hours shift) HC1
