About Genesis Recovery and Wellness of Ohio Genesis Recovery and Wellness of Ohio-Recovery Housing is dedicated to providing safe, supportive, and structured recovery housing for individuals in recovery from substance use disorders. Our Level 3 Recovery Home integrates housing support with clinical coordination, life skills development, and community accountability, offering residents a pathway toward long-term recovery and independence. Position Summary The Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) plays a critical role in maintaining a supportive, structured, and safe environment within the Level 3 Recovery Home. The BHT provides direct support to residents, assists with daily operations, monitors compliance with house rules, documents resident progress, and facilitates recovery-focused programming. Key Responsibilities Monitor residents to ensure a safe, recovery-supportive environment. Provide guidance, encouragement, and accountability to residents in alignment with recovery goals. Conduct resident check-ins, curfew checks, and random room/locker inspections as required. Assist residents in developing daily living, coping, and recovery skills. Facilitate or co-facilitate recovery-oriented groups, educational sessions, or peer support activities. Observe and document resident behaviors, progress, and incidents in accordance with agency policies. Monitor medication storage and self-administration in compliance with state and agency guidelines. De-escalate conflicts and support residents through crisis situations using approved intervention techniques. Support transportation coordination for clinical services, appointments, or recovery activities as needed. Maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries consistent with HIPAA and ethical standards. Collaborate with clinical and housing staff to ensure individualized recovery plans are supported. Uphold Recovery Housing Level 3 standards, including structured programming, peer support, and recovery coaching. Minor amount of cleaning and organizing will be part of daily shift duties. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; behavioral health or recovery experience preferred. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality. Peer Recovery Supporter (PRSS) certification in Ohio a plus (or willingness to obtain). Valid driver's license and/or reliable transportation. Must pass background check and drug screen. Schedule Monday through Friday, 4:00 PM
