POSITION SUMMARY
The Behavioral Health Technician provides front-line recovery support and supervision to residents in a structured sober living environment. The role integrates certified chemical dependency care with peer mentorship, fostering accountability, safety, and personal growth. PRS preferred.
Hours:
7:30AM - 4PM
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Resident Support & Supervision Conduct room inspections, chore checks, and curfew verification Administer and document drug screenings Provide behavioral observation, crisis response, and de-escalation Ensure resident safety, compliance, and accountability Recovery Engagement Facilitate peer-led groups and daily resident check-ins Support residents through goal setting, resource navigation, and lived-experience mentorship Promote recovery principles, structure, and social responsibility Documentation & Communication Maintain accurate shift logs, incident reports, and communication records Uphold confidentiality and compliance with behavioral health documentation standards Relay concerns to supervisory and clinical teams Transportation Duties (if applicable) Safely operate facility vehicles for resident appointments Maintain transportation schedules and safety inspections
QUALIFICATIONS
Active CDCA or PRS Ohio 1+ years experience in outpatient treatment, recovery housing, or related behavioral health field (preferred) Valid driver's license (if transport required) CPR/First Aid certified or willing to obtain Professional demeanor, clear boundaries, and strong teamwork skills
SCHEDULE & ENVIRONMENT
Availability for first, second (some weekends/holidays required) Work setting includes communal living spaces, structured routines, and trauma-informed care practices
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to conduct walkthroughs, respond to incidents, and support basic facility tasks
