Our outpatient addiction and mental health treatment programs focus on ethical, compassionate, and clinically driven care for individuals navigating substance use and co-occurring mental health challenges. We are currently seeking dependable, motivated, and recovery-oriented Behavioral Health Technicians (BHTs) to join our growing team. This position plays a critical role in maintaining structure, accountability, transportation support, and overall client safety within both clinical and recovery housing environments. Position Summary The Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) provides direct support and supervision to clients participating in substance use and mental health treatment services and/or structured recovery housing environments. The ideal candidate understands the importance of professionalism, boundaries, accountability, and compassionate care while maintaining program expectations and safety standards. Candidates should have experience working with individuals struggling with addiction and mental health disorders and must be familiar with Ohio Recovery Housing (ORH) standards, expectations, and recovery-oriented environments. Responsibilities Provide direct supervision and support to clients in outpatient and/or recovery housing settings Maintain a safe, structured, and recovery-focused environment Assist with client transportation to treatment, meetings, appointments, employment, and community resources Conduct and document room checks, wellness checks, shift notes, incident reports, and other required documentation Monitor client behavior and report concerns to clinical and leadership staff appropriately Assist with medication observation/documentation when applicable per company policy Support implementation of house expectations and Ohio Recovery Housing standards/rules Assist with admissions, orientations, and client transitions when needed Encourage positive peer interaction, accountability, and recovery engagement Maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations Participate in team meetings, trainings, and ongoing professional development Assist in crisis intervention and de-escalation situations appropriately Ensure facilities remain clean, organized, and presentable
QualificationsRequired:
High School Diploma or GED Minimum 1-2 years of direct experience working in behavioral health, addiction treatment, sober living, recovery housing, or related human services fields Strong understanding of addiction, recovery principles, and behavioral health environments Knowledge of Ohio Recovery Housing (ORH) standards, expectations, and recovery housing operations Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Ability to pass background check and drug screening Strong communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills Ability to remain calm and professional in high-stress situations Reliable transportation and strong attendance
Preferred:
